Singer recalls when her demo was thrown at her

Nigerian soul singer Waje has gone down memory lane and recounted when her demo CD was thrown back at one.

“I walked up to somebody. I was like “Hey, my name is Waje and I just want to be out there,” because I just wanted their encouragement" said Waje, the mother of one.

"I gave them my demo and they held the demo, and in just a split second that I looked away, I turned back and the guy had flung my CD away” she further said.

Waje is now one of the leading female acts in the country after successfully releasing her debut album 'W.A.J.E' in 2013.
