Female friend 2: Having had enough
of her laptop battery, she informs me that she's looking for a
replacement. Little did I know that looking meant looking for a man to
shop for her. You should have heard her flaunt about how lucky she was
to find the rare commodity. And so I inquired why she didn't shop for
it on her own. Duh, how I'm I supposed to know this stuff? I assume
that he told you where he got it from? No. So that means next time the
battery jams on you, you'll go back running to him?
I have come to a conclusion that women are just lazy, less ambitious and
expect things to be dished to them freely-just like Africa! It's not
that Africans can't do it on her own, neither do women. But, lack of
will power and over being pampered year after year (amounting to
centuries) makes them unresponsive.
Just like Africa, where we are suing the colonial governments for crimes
committed back in the day, and expect to be compensated, is the same
thing women cling to in relationships of the past, expecting to make a
fortune out of them, instead of working their own ass and ashaming those
who trampled on them back in the day.
Just like Africa whereby despite being so unified by so many factors, we
still can't help fighting each other for very trivial reasons. Why are
Kenya and Somalia at war, or the Christians and Muslims of Nigeria, or
people of South Sudan, or Northern Uganda. At the drawing board you'll
realize that fighting is not the answer, and for even for those at war,
by now, they have no idea why that war begun in the first place. Take a
look around you and count the number of women who don't get along and
are in constant fights for reasons none of them can point out.
Just like Africa where we expect everything for free; like food,
medication, clothing and education, is the same way women expect equal
representation in leadership, education and decision making. They call
them gender equality, but in real sense, they are looking for free
samples. Equality is not about being given things for free, but being
given equal opportunities for all and let the one who thrive in those
conditions take the prize home.
Word of advice, learn to make it on your own. Free sample donations are either expired or not fit for human consumption.
